Roberta House is the sister home to Elizabeth House, 200 yards down the road in the same village. Both houses share the same team of carers and management, ensuring high standards of care for all clients.
Roberta House is a slightly quieter version of its sister home and the people we support at Roberta House tend to be slightly more independent than those at Elizabeth House. The care provision is exactly the same but the facilities differ slightly.
We provide short and long-term rehabilitation and residential care services for 16 clients at Roberta House. Opened in the autumn of 2010, our Pathways Units provide support and more intensive life skills coaching for 3 clients who are more independent and need to practice their independent living skills before stepping back out into the wider community.
Services and care are both holistic and tailored to meet each client’s specific needs. Our philosophy is that all the people we support have the potential to progress, no matter what their condition and background.
Our goal is to promote independence and self-esteem within the framework of a pluralist and holistic approach to care and therapy. Each person’s client development programme focuses on living skills (both personal and household), social skills development, active therapy and vocational training and support. We strongly encourage links with the wider community and assist our clients to build and maintain family links which they may have lost.
If you feel we may be able to make a difference to you, to your relative, your friend or your client, please get in touch with us via our Contact page. We look forward to hearing from you.
